This is a newly created position — the first time our client has hired specifically for a combined Buyer/Planner role — at a shop running laser cutting, press brake forming, and shearing/sawing operations on the JobBoss ERP platform in a high-mix, quick-turn production environment where large batches of parts (200+ at a time) can be released into the schedule with short turnaround windows.
The Buyer/Planner owns both the purchasing of raw material and components and the scheduling of production across the shop's manufacturing equipment (lasers, press brakes, saws) for their assigned area, helping the company get more out of the planning and scheduling functionality already built into JobBoss.
